Yeone Fok is the founder of SparkRaise.com, which is a global creative community and crowdfunding platform for the socially conscious. Prior to founding SparkRaise, Yeone spent over a decade as a banker at Credit Suisse, JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank, in New York, London and Hong Kong, primarily focused on equity capital raises.
Since its founding
SparkRaise has been used to fundraise for projects as diverse as a music school for an orphanage in Myanmar, Hong Kong ‘s largest indie band, the first co-created travel guide ever to be crowdfunded, as well as the first eco-friendly cork yoga mat in Hong Kong. SparkRaise was also used by HKUST for the first ever crowdfunding campaigns to be integrated into course curriculum at business school in Asia.
Yeone ‘s interest in supporting innovation, creativity and social good led to the founding of SparkRaise.
Following a successful UK based career in E-Commerce Commercial and Supply Chain management, Pete returned to Hong Kong where he had lived as a child. Pete is one of the founders of Kite Systems, a technology company specializing in development and consulting for a number of businesses in HK.
Pete is also one of the founders and directors of Ticketflap.com which grew out of the needs of the Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival for a modern flexible ticketing partner. Ticketflap has since become the ticketing platform of choice for a number of large events including Formula E, The UBS Golf Open, the UCI World Cycling Championships, Sónar HK and the HKJC Riding High Together Festival.
As well as running Ticketflap for the last 5 years, Pete is also the Chief Operational Officer of Magnetic Asia, the parent company of both Ticketflap and Clockenflap. Whilst not at work, Pete is an avid guitarist and technical wreck diver.
Jami is the founder of TakeOut Comedy and The TakeOut Comedy Club Hong Kong. Hailing from New York City, he has performed all over the USA and has appeared on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”. After two years of research, he took the leap of faith and moved to HK to open The TakeOut Comedy Club HK, The FIRST Fulltime Comedy Club in Asia, where there are weekly regular standup comedy shows, Improv shows with Peoples Liberation Improv (HK’s ONLY regular performing Improv Troupe), and monthly professional international comedians.
Jami also conducts Standup Comedy workshops and does corporate training using standup comedy. He produces all the TakeOut Comedy events including The Annual Hong Kong International Comedy Festival and The Annual Hong Kong International Improv Festival. Jami also had the honor of being an Olympic Torchbearer in New York City in 2004 for The Athens Summer Olympics.
When Jami is not at The TakeOut Comedy Club, he can be found hosting events, performing and teaching standup comedy in HK and Asia.
Yilin is the founder of The Beam Co. and Simple Pieces, which offer Lifestyle solutions for the modern working woman. Through Simple Pieces, the idea is to create a ‘work-drobe’ for a new mindset where the boundary between work and life is often more blurred. Simple Pieces had completed seed round of financing, and is backed by one of the most reputable venture capital firms in China – Zhen Fund.
Prior to Simple Pieces, Yilin worked with McKinsey & Company and then completed her MBA from Harvard Business School in 2012. She is also the founding member of Xiaohongshu (>30mn user social-commerce app in China).
